Category C covers large rigid vehicles over 3,500kg, with a trailer up to 750kg maximum authorised mass.
The “Class 1” and “Class 2” names remain common in the transport industry. Your driving licence records the official category entitlement.

How long will training take?
Your practical training plan depends on your starting point and assessment. Medical, provisional entitlement, theory preparation and test availability can also affect the overall timeline. Tell us what you have already completed and your preferred start date so we can discuss a realistic plan.
Where will I train?
We accept enquiries from learners across Staffordshire and the surrounding area. Our business has a Willenhall office and a Lichfield yard; the practical venue for your particular course is confirmed before booking. A local service-area page does not mean there is a training centre in that town.
What should I have ready before enquiring?
Your current licence category, any provisional HGV entitlement, the tests you have already passed and your town or postcode are a useful starting point. You can still enquire if you are unsure. Do not send licence scans or medical records through the enquiry form.
Should I choose Class 2 or Class 1?
Class 2 refers to Category C rigid vehicles. Class 1 refers to Category C+E vehicles with larger trailers. Choose the category needed for the work you want to do; we can help you compare your starting point and the vehicle type.
